On July 11, Dr. Hung Nguyen, Senior Principal Scientist of International Livestock Research Institute, visited SHVRI CAAS, where an exchange seminar was held. The meeting was chaired by Han Xuesong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of SHVRI.
During the seminar, the two sides focused on major animal disease prevention and control along the "Belt and Road" initiative, and discussed cutting-edge technical fields such as food safety assurance, intelligent disease monitoring technology, and new vaccine development.
Dr. Hung Nguyen spoke highly of SHVRI's achievements in scientific research in recent years and provided a detailed overview of the current status of livestock production and the challenges in disease prevention and control in Southeast Asia. Experts from SHVRI shared the latest results on animal diseases and the development of prevention and control technologies.
Han Xuesong stated that there is broad room for cooperation among countries along the "Belt and Road" in livestock industry development and disease prevention and control. Complementary advantages can effectively enhance regional animal disease prevention and control capabilities. He expressed the posiiblitiy of two sides to deepen collaboration in joint research on cross-border disease prevention and control technologies, joint application for international cooperation projects, and establishment of a researcher exchange mechanism.
This meeting laid a solid foundation for exploring the potential of cross-border cooperation in disease prevention and industrial development, addressing key challenges in prevention and control, and promoting the development of new productive forces in animal husbandry and veterinary medicine.
